Host Church Expectations

Thank you for being willing to host the Presbytery of Southern Florida.  Below you will see a list of the things we need when presbytery meets are your church.  If you should have any questions please contact that Stated Clerk or the Moderator RE Paul Garofolo .

  • - How many to expect: Expect between 60 and 85 people.

  • - Chairs and tables needed:  1 table and 2 chairs in the front of the meeting area for the Stated Clerk and his assistant.  Two large tables in the back for registration sheets and handouts.

  • - Electrical Outlet:  The table for the Stated Clerk needs to be close to an electrical outlet (an extension cord is fine).

  • - Food:  Self Serve continental breakfast during registration – 8:30 to 9:00 a.m.
  •   and lunch served from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. for 60-85 people.

  • - Meeting rooms:  Presbytery needs 2-3 rooms for maximum of 12 people.  Each room should be available during the day for committee meetings.

  • - Music:  Musician(s) for worship service – 9:00 to 9:45 a.m.  The moderator will contact you regarding the worship service.

  • - Lord's Supper: The Presbytery observes the Lord's Supper at the close of the worship service for all stated meetings.  Please plan on serving 50-60 people.

  • - PA System:  Three microphones will be needed for the meeting.  One for the stated clerk, another for the moderator, and one on the floor.

  • - Office Services:  Typing and/or photocopying may be required during the day.  There may be some use of the telephone.  Meeting should be over by 5:00 p.m.

  • - Projector and Screen:  Please let the clerk know if these are available for use.

  • - Wireless Internet:  Please let the clerk know if wireless internet is available and any passwords required for use.
