REFORMED UNIVERSITY FELLOWSHIP COMMITTEE

What does this Committee do?

(A)  This Committee is charged to fully participate in behalf of the Presbytery on the Florida Joint Committee of Reformed Univeristy Fellowship ( RUF).  Each Presbytery in Florida is an equal member of the Joint Committee and is responsible to participate in its work in the following areas:

    1.    To determine the needs of campus ministry within the boundaries of the Presbyteries, and to inform the Presbyteries, and to determine priorities of new business.
    2.    To prepare local campus ministries' budgets and the overall budget for approval.
    3.    To inform the churches and people of the Presbyteries, of campus ministries - its purpose, programs, progress, and needs.
    4.    To organize new ministries on campuses and to seek out and train qualified staff for these ministries.
    5.    To initiate the call for campus ministries by Presbyteries.
    6.    To advise and supervise the campus ministry being carried out within its bounds.


(B)  This Committee's membership shall be no less or more than five members (TE or RE) and shall not be organized in classes, but will be permanent, or until the member requests replacement, which replacement shall be provided through the Presbytery Nominating Committee.  This unique requirement is due to the scope of the Joint Committee's membership and ongoing campus oversight requirements.  Thus this Committee is exempt from the terms of three years and three yearly classes requirement in the first paragraph of Section 3.

(C)  This Committee shall report directly to the Presbytery concerning the work of the Joint Committee and to present any appropriate matters to Presbytery.

 Stated Meeting Dates/Time/Place: This committee meets twice a year in conjunction with the Florida Joint Committee of Reformed University Fellowship.  The meeting is held in Orlando.
