Committee Members, As I plan to be away the week of our Stated Meeting (normally the first Tuesday of the month of the Presbytery meeting) I am asking that the next meeting of the Care Committee be slated for July 8th at St Andrews (500 No Park Rd Hollywood FL 33021) 7pm for Committee Members and 7:30 pm for Candidates. Hopefully, this advance notice will give you opportunity to clear your schedule and be with us. Thanks ! TJ Campo What does this Committee do? (A) This Committee shall serve as the Care Committee of the Presbytery and all Candidates Under Care, Interns, and Licentiates shall remain under the oversight of the Committee until they are either ordained or transferred to another Presbytery.
(B) This Committee shall supervise the internship program of Presbytery.
(C) This Committee shall interview and examine Candidates to come under care and Applicants for internship prior to their appearance before Presbytery.
(D) The Committee shall counsel and encourage the Candidates under care throughout the period of their preparation.
(E) The Committee shall encourage the Churches within the Presbytery to offer the Candidates Under Care opportunities for summer and clinical year employment, so that their gifts of ministry may be tested. Stated Meeting Dates/Time/Place: First Tuesday evening of each Presbytery month (i.e. Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct), 7:00pm for Committee Members and 7:30pm for candidates. The meeting convenes at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 500 No. Park Rd., Hollywood FL, 33021 ( 954.989.2655) in the pastor's study (ground floor). Candidates, please meet in the adjacent conference room. Meetings usually last approximately 90 minutes depending on the number of candidates being interviewed.
